Groups such as the ADRIC and the Muslim Brotherhood have spouted anti-India rhetoric through their paid journalists, activists and NGOs.
New Delhi, June 24: Jammu and Kashmir has long witnessed this problem, but in recent years, propaganda channels made up of journalists, activists and journalists have spearheaded anti-Indian rhetoric across the country.
A popular Twitter handle, “The Hawk Eye,” tweeted, “it’s payout day.” Arm James-e-Islam fake news propaganda wing ADRIC project HRRF award distributes cash reward from 50k to 1 lakh.

The reference was made to the awards distributed by the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) to certain Indian journalists who often brandished anti-Indian rhetoric. Admittedly, the IAMC, an Indo-American Muslim organization, had congratulated MP Ilhan Omar on June 23 for presenting a resolution in the American House of Representatives condemning India for the alleged violation of the human rights of minorities, in particular the Muslims. ADRIC praised Omar whose resolution is unlikely to see the light of day given her vindictive approach and the fact that she has openly sided with Pakistani officials on the issue of India.
This is not the first time that the IMAC has made the news. DisinfoLab posted a series of tweets about the outfit after former Vice President of India Hamid Ansari took part in an event organized by IMAC.
It’s a payment day🥳. Jamat-e-Islam branch, fake news propaganda wing, ADRIC’s “HRRF Journo Award” project distributes cash reward from 50K to 1L.

Former Vice President Ansari and actor Swara Bhaskar attending an event organized by ADMI to ‘save pluralism’ on #RepublicDay Linked to fraud in the name of the Covid crisis, DisinfoLab, a separate legal entity having for the motive of uncovering false news and propaganda aimed at creating unrest among people, said.
IAMC founder Sheik Ubaid and its member Malik Mujahid served as the head of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), which is the American front of the Jamaat-e-Islami, in Pakistan.
DisinfoLabs said the ICNA has established links with groups such as Lashkar-e-Tayiba. ADMI has also spread fake news against India in the past and was slapped by the strict provisions of UAPA in 2021.
An Intelligence Bureau official told OneIndia that groups such as the IAMC and the Muslim Brotherhood have been waging a propaganda campaign against India for a long time. These groups, through their sponsored journalists, NGOs and activists, make it a point to comment on every issue in India and make it seem like the voice of the nation.
IAMC is a US-based Jamaat-affiliated group that is the hub for all anti-India activity – from lobbying against India to COVID-19 donation fraud to spreading fake news.

Take for example the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The OIC has made it a point to comment on almost all issues related to India. In May, India attacked the grouping after commenting on the delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir that would pave the way for elections to be held.
An OSINT report by Disinfo Lab details how a boycott campaign was launched last year in September by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) link against India as well as targeting Saudi Arabia and the UAE outside from France.
It appears to be a test of strength for the Muslim Brotherhood, as it has taken advantage of several news outlets in its arsenal, including the jewel Al Jazeera, at risk to their credibility. The simple QTPi resource run by MB and deployed in this fake news driven propaganda has clearly shown that not only have the Brotherhood arrived in India but they also intend to stay, according to the report.
